Leigha had a storied career as a gymnast at NC State from which she graduated with a BA in Communications in 2008. Named Eastern Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie of the Year, she was also NC State gymnastics MVP in 2006, 2007, and 2008 and holds the school record for 1st place on the floor exercise. Additionally, she was Southeast Regional Gymnast of the Year and the EAGL Sr Gymnast of the Year in 2007-2008 as well as the Wolfpack Female Athlete of the Year in 2008. Deciding to use her gymnastics passion, Leigha accepted an acrobatic job at SeaWorld in San Diego. While there she worked as a stunt double for an ABC Family show “Make It or Break It” about elite gymnasts vying for an Olympic berth. She performed weekly and filmed over 30 shows in the course of 3 seasons. Returning to CT she graduated from the University of St. Joseph, becoming a Registered Dietician, specializing in eating disorders and geriatrics, while still moonlighting as a stunt double. She has played Tribute District #7 in “The Hunger Games” and was a stunt double for Noah Jupe in “A Quiet Place I and II”. She has jumped 20 feet into piles of corn, stepped through 4 trap doors, been “killed” many times, fallen through ice, a volcanic lava tube, and down a waterfall in Thailand. Most recently she tripped over a log and fell 12 feet off a cliff to her character’s “death”.
